About MakeMyImgs
MakeMyImgs is a collection of free image editing tools that run entirely in your browser. We built it because most "free" image tools on the web require you to upload your photos to someone else's server — and that felt wrong.
When you compress, resize, crop, convert, or edit an image with one of our client-side tools, the processing happens on your device using the HTML5 Canvas API and Web Workers. Your files never leave your machine, and we never see them.
How it works
Most of our tools — compression, resizing, cropping, format conversion, filters, watermarks, and more — use the browser's built-in Canvas API to manipulate pixels directly. The heavy lifting runs in Web Workers so your browser stays responsive even with large images.
A handful of tools require server-side processing because the underlying technology can't run in a browser yet. Background removal uses AI (rembg), upscaling uses Real-ESRGAN, and HEIC conversion relies on native codecs. For those tools, your image is sent to our API, processed, returned immediately, and deleted from our servers. We mark these tools clearly so you always know when a file will leave your device.
What we offer
- 20+ image tools — Compress, resize, crop, convert, rotate, blur, watermark, generate memes, pick colors, create PDFs, and more.
- Batch processing — Tools like bulk compress handle up to 50 images at once with per-file progress tracking.
- Format support — JPG, PNG, WebP, AVIF, GIF, BMP, TIFF, HEIC, and RAW files.
- No account required — Open the page, drop your image, and go. No sign-up, no login, no tracking cookies before you consent.
- AI-powered tools — Background removal and image upscaling via our server-side AI pipeline for tasks that can't run in the browser.
Why free?
MakeMyImgs is supported by ads. We show them below the fold so they don't interfere with your workflow. No paywalls, no artificial limits on file sizes or batch counts, no "download with watermark" gotchas.
Open and transparent
We believe you should know exactly what's happening with your data. Our privacy policy explains our approach in plain language, and our terms of service are as short as we could make them while still covering the basics.
